Meet the People Behind Redstart

Chad, founder and owner of Redstart, is a lifelong Naperville native. Before returning to his hometown to launch his own company in 2005, Chad built his career managing high-end, multi-million-dollar construction projects. 

With a background in commercial construction and decades of industry experience, he founded Redstart with a focus on delivering high-quality custom homes, renovations, and additions through a personalized, client-centered approach. 

Under Mease’s leadership, the company has earned a reputation for craftsmanship, attention to detail, and strong client relationships, serving families throughout the western suburbs of Chicago with a full-service design-build process.

Chad is deeply committed to his family and enjoys spending time with them whenever he can. He has a passion for cars, appreciates time outdoors, hunting, and enjoys the companionship of his dog – interests that reflect his appreciation for both craftsmanship and the outdoors. 

Dan serves as Director of Project Development at Redstart.

In his role, Dan oversees the front-end development of projects, guiding clients from initial concept through planning and preconstruction. He works closely with homeowners, designers, and project teams to align vision, scope, budget, and feasibility – ensuring a seamless transition into construction. His leadership helps drive project success by balancing client goals with practical execution, maintaining Redstart’s commitment to quality craftsmanship and personalized service. 

Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He’s also an avid guitar player and performs in a band, bringing the same creativity and passion to music that he applies to his work in design and construction.

Shelly serves as Executive Office and Design Manager at Redstart. In her role, she oversees office operations while supporting the firm’s integrated design-build process, helping ensure seamless coordination between clients, designers, and project teams.

With a strong focus on organization, communication, and client experience, Wallace plays a key role in maintaining Redstart’s commitment to personalized service and attention to detail – core principles that guide the company’s approach to creating functional, thoughtfully designed living spaces. 

When not at the office you can find Shelly backpacking and spending time in the outdoors, where she finds inspiration and balance. She also values time with her family and friends, bringing that same sense of connection and care into both her personal life and professional approach.

As a design intern for Redstart, Danielle brings a thoughtful eye for detail and a passion for creative problem-solving to every project. Currently finishing up her studies in the Interior Design program at the College of DuPage, she is building a strong foundation in design principles while continuing to expand her skills in real-world settings.

With a natural curiosity for how spaces and structures come together, Danielle is committed to learning and contributing in meaningful ways within the team. Beyond her professional work, she has taken on the hands-on challenge of remodeling her own family home – an experience that has deepened her appreciation for design, craftsmanship, and the impact of well-designed spaces on everyday life. This personal project reflects both her initiative and her dedication to creating environments that feel intentional and lived-in.

At the heart of everything that Danielle does is her strong connection to her family, who continue to inspire and support her journey.

Annabelle began her career with Redstart as an intern while completing her studies in interior design at the College of DuPage. During this time, she gained hands-on experience across all phases of the design process.

Now a full-time designer at Redstart, Annabelle brings a strong foundation in technical design and client-focused problem solving to residential projects, helping translate client visions into functional and thoughtfully designed living spaces. Her work has included creating detailed drawing sets, developing tile and cabinetry specifications, producing elevations, and assisting with on-site measurements to ensure accuracy throughout project execution. 

Outside of her professional work, Annabelle has a deep love for animals, music, and spending time with her family and friends – interests that reflect her warm, creative, and people-centered approach to both life and design.

Lauren is a dedicated and detail-oriented Office Manager at Redstart, where she plays a key role in keeping daily operations running smoothly. Known for her organization, reliability, and positive attitude, Lauren supports both the team and clients with professionalism and care.

Outside of work, Lauren enjoys time with her family and is the proud mom of two active, busy boys who keep life exciting and full of energy. Whether she’s cheering them on or keeping up with their packed schedules, she embraces every moment. In her free time, Lauren enjoys being outdoors, taking advantage of nature whenever she can to relax, recharge, and spend quality time with her loved ones.

Joe is a dedicated Project Manager at Redstart, where he brings a strong focus on organization, collaboration, and delivering high-quality results. With a talent for coordinating teams and keeping projects on track, Joe plays a key role in ensuring that timelines are met and client expectations are exceeded. His leadership style emphasizes clear communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail, making him a trusted resource within the organization.

Outside of his professional work, Joe values spending time with his family and friends. Whether it’s relaxing at home, enjoying the outdoors, or sharing good conversation, he prioritizes building meaningful connections and making the most of his time with the people who matter most.

In his role as a project manager for Redstart, Rob oversees on-site project execution, coordinates subcontractors, manages schedules and materials, and ensures that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the company’s high standards of quality and proficiency.

With a strong background in construction management and hands-on project coordination, Estoll works closely with clients, design teams, and field crews to maintain clear communication throughout every phase of the building process. His responsibilities include supervising job sites, facilitating inspections, and maintaining detailed project documentation to support efficient and successful project delivery.

In addition to his professional expertise, Rob is a dedicated family man. He is the proud father of three daughters and husband to his wife, Stacy. Outside of work, he values time spent with his family and brings the same commitment, care, and reliability to his personal life as he does to every project he manages.

George is a dedicated Project Manager at Redstart, known for his steady leadership, attention to detail, and ability to keep complex projects moving forward on time and on budget. With a strong background in construction management and a practical, solutions-oriented mindset, George excels at coordinating teams and navigating the day-to-day challenges of the job site with professionalism and clarity. His colleagues value his reliability and calm approach, especially when projects demand quick thinking and decisive action.

Outside of work, George is equally committed to his role as a father. As a proud dad to a growing family, he brings the same sense of responsibility, patience, and care to his home life as he does to his projects. Lynn is a designer at Redstart known for her ability to turn vision into reality through thoughtful, client-centered design. With a strong background in real estate and home staging, she brings a unique perspective to every project—understanding not just how a space looks, but how it lives, functions, and resonates with those who use it. Lynn’s background and experience has sharpened her eye for detail, spatial flow, and market-driven design, all of which continue to inform her work today.

Mark brings over 15 years of experience as a Project Manager with Redstart. Throughout his tenure, he has played a pivotal role in overseeing a wide range of residential projects, including custom home builds, large-scale renovations and multi-family developments.

Known for his hands-on leadership style and meticulous attention to detail, Mark ensures that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of craftsmanship. Mark’s deep knowledge of construction practices, combined with his commitment to quality and client satisfaction, has made him a trusted leader within Redstart and a key contributor to the company’s long-standing reputation for excellence.

Not only does Mark have a passion for construction, he is passionate about spending time with his family and enjoys playing guitar, often using music as a way to unwind and stay creative. His balance of professional dedication and personal passion reflects the thoughtful, grounded approach he brings to both his work and his life.

A dedicated and skilled laborer for Redstart, Jack is known for his strong work ethic and reliability on every job site. He takes pride in contributing to high-quality construction projects and works well as part of a team to get the job done efficiently and safely. Outside of work, Jack enjoys spending time outdoors and values making memories with his friends and family.

Graham is a skilled carpenter with Redstart, known for his precision, craftsmanship, and dedication to delivering high-quality work on every project. With a strong work ethic and attention to detail, he plays an important role in bringing projects to life and ensuring they meet the highest standards.

Outside of work, Graham is a former state champion runner who continues to stay connected to the sport by coaching the Naperville Central High School cross country team. He is passionate about mentoring young athletes and helping them achieve their goals both on and off the course. In his free time, Graham enjoys spending time with friends and family, valuing the relationships that keep him grounded and motivated.

As a designer at Redstart, Katerina is recognized for her thoughtful, detail-driven approach to both selections and structural layouts. She has a strong ability to balance aesthetics with functionality, ensuring that each design not only looks refined but also works seamlessly in practice. Her work reflects a careful consideration of materials, spatial flow, and how individual elements come together to create a cohesive final result.

Originally from Russia, Katerina brings a unique global perspective to her designs, drawing on a diverse range of influences that set her work apart. This background allows her to approach projects with fresh creativity and a nuanced eye, elevating both the visual impact and overall experience of the spaces she helps create.

As a Redstart designer and member of the sales team, Ursula brings a collaborative, client-focused approach to every project, guiding homeowners from the earliest conversations through the design process to create spaces that feel both beautiful and deeply personal. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for blending function with style, Ursula works closely with clients and team members to ensure each design reflects the way people truly live.

Outside of her work, Ursula enjoys spending time with her immediate and large extended family, where gatherings are lively, meaningful, and full of connection – an influence that often inspires her belief that the best spaces are the ones that bring people together.
