The Redstart Journey

A Fresh Start

In 2005, founder Chad Mease and his wife Amanda returned to their hometown of Naperville to start a new chapter. With a strong background in commercial construction, Chad brought experience and ambition to launching his own design-build firm.

The Name Behind Redstart

With the support of family, Chad founded a design-build firm. As he was forming the new business, he needed to choose a name. Redstart was born - a nod to the small yet mighty warbler bird that resonated with Chad’s family.

Family Roots and Growth

The color red has always held special significance in Chad and Amanda's marriage and their early life together. When they decided that their hometown was the best place to start this new endeavor, they moved back and purchased a home. With a fresh start and a new home, it was time to renovate and build the nest for their growing family. This first project for the Mease family was just the beginning. Redstart has since transformed homes and spaces for hundreds of families in the Chicagoland area. The company's mascot, the redstart bird, represents family, new beginnings, and the joy of designing and building spaces within the place they call home.
